...has been a practising artist and community educator for 14 years. She has been artist in residence for Fight for Sight and Artists and Illustrators' Magazine.
Her work as a community educator has enabled her to help adults and children to free their own creativitiy and in many cases has facilitated exhibitions of their works.
Debra's work has been exhibited in galleries across Britain and pieces are held in private collections in the UK and the Isle of Man.
Debra has been a member of The Art House since 1997 and more recently a member of BAMM (British Association of Modern Mosaic).
Her work has been published in AN and Collage with creative projects and a children's serial published in Aquila Magazine and Marine World Magazine.
Previously employed as a lecturer for a local authority, Debra now owns The Creative Space Studio. She has an Independent Studies degree in 3D Illustration and Animation from Manchester Metropolitan University and a PGCE in Post 16, Adult and Further Education.
'Currently I am exploring the concept of 'excess'. The way that we live; what we eat, how we buy, how we cram full our land fills - how that what everything we do is done to 'excess'. I am creating mosaic works that aim to reflect my thoughts on this.'
